How much does wedding photography cost?
Every wedding is different, so each collection is composed for your day. You can build a live estimate in a couple of minutes with Plan Your Collection — choose your province, coverage and whether you’d like content creation, and your investment updates as you go. We then send a personal quotation.
Which areas do you cover?
MM Photography covers weddings across Gauteng (Johannesburg, Pretoria, Sandton), the Free State (Bloemfontein) and KwaZulu-Natal (Durban, Umhlanga, Ballito), as well as destination weddings elsewhere in South Africa and abroad. Travel is quoted transparently based on distance.
Do you photograph coastal weddings in Umhlanga, Ballito and Durban?
Yes — we love the KwaZulu-Natal coast. We photograph luxury beach and venue weddings around Umhlanga, Ballito and greater Durban, and travel there regularly.
Do you offer videography?
We focus on photography and content creation, so we don’t film weddings ourselves — but we love working alongside your videographer. Whoever you choose, we plan the day together so your photographs and your film both get the moments they need.
Is a second photographer included?
A second photographer can be invaluable on a wedding day, allowing us to be in two places at once — capturing the quiet moments of getting ready, the atmosphere as your guests arrive, the little in-between moments, and a second perspective on the moments that matter most. A second photographer is included in most of our collections, allowing us to tell a fuller story of your day — from the anticipation before the ceremony to the energy of the dance floor, and all the moments in between.
How many photographs will we receive?
You’ll receive several hundred carefully edited images from a full wedding day — every moment that matters, beautifully finished and delivered in a private online gallery.
How do we secure our date?
Your date is held once you’ve accepted your quote and paid your Booking Fee. Until then, dates are offered on a first-come basis, so it’s worth confirming early for peak season.
When will we receive our photos?
Delivery timing is confirmed with your collection. We back every wedding up to multiple secure locations before editing begins, so your memories are always safe while we craft them.
Do you offer engagement or pre-wedding sessions?
Yes. An engagement session is a relaxed way to get comfortable in front of the camera before your wedding — and the images are lovely for save-the-dates or your invitation.
